The Olympic Games are considered the world’s foremost sport competition with the participation of thousands of athletes from over 200 nations, competing in a variety of sports. Participating in the Olympic Games itself is considered a great honor and achievement for any athlete but winning an Olympic medal represents the fulfillment of every athlete’s dream!
To qualify for participating in the Olympic Games takes hard work; a strict training schedule, strenuous and consistent practice, dedication to the particular Olympic sport and foremost, personal sacrifices. But even after years of hard work, sacrifice and dedication, very few athletes get to taste the Olympic glory.
This month, we deal with everything that concerns athletes pursuing the Olympic dream; the problems they face in the quest for Olympic glory, the hurdles of funding an Olympic career, the adjustment to life after the Olympics and many more issues that Olympic athletes are faced with. We want to ensure that Olympic athletes utilize the skills they have acquired while pursuing the Olympic dream, to build an equally successful life after the Olympic lights are out!
