October 2021 Editorial: Athletes planning for the future in the post-Covid era

Oct 7, 2021 | Editorials

The novel coronavirus – Covid-19 – broke into our lives almost two years ago and altered every aspect of our reality. Offices moved online, sporting events lost their magic and human interaction changed fundamentally. We can only hope that we are briskly taking back control of our lives with the increasing rate of vaccination and the gradual washing away of the virus itself.

Despite the overwhelmingly negative effects of the pandemic, it also gave athletes, and not only, an opportunity to take a step back, free of the hurdles of their regular routines, to think about their future and long-term plans. It also gave them an opportunity to reflect on their financial plans, their engagement with their communities and perhaps their educational options.

This month, we will explore the different ways in which the pandemic affected sports, but most importantly, what comes next.  What can you learn from the pandemic? How can you enhance your financial capabilities? How can you go about planning your life beyond the pandemic? Follow our October insights to find the answers to these questions and how you can turn this catastrophe to your favor.
