Maria Lockwood

Maria Lockwood has over 35 years of experience as an Educator. She qualified with a BEd in Natural and Environmental Sciences at Goldsmiths College, London University. She gained her NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) in 2003. Maria has extensive teaching experience across all age groups from Nursery Education through to Secondary Education, developing her practice in schools in England and abroad. She has a wealth of experience, ranging from whole-class teaching, Special Educational Needs, Director of a Specialist Speech and Language Unit attached to a school in London, Project Managing a Children’s Centre, and most recently as Head of School. In addition, Maria has also been an Educational Consultant to a UK start-up company, specialising in bespoke Curriculum resources for schools in Primary Science.

Maria has a clear understanding and vision of the complementary elements of Emotional well-being and successful learning for children and adults. As an expert practitioner, Maria believes vehemently in a holistic approach to teaching and learning resulting in a positive Growth Mindset. Her maxim is ‘Think, Believe, Achieve’.
